Central Care Cancer Center broke ground Tuesday, September 12, 2006 on a new two-story building adjacent to Citizens Memorial Hospital. The new comprehensive cancer center will offer radiation therapy and chemotherapy treatments in Bolivar so Polk County area patients will no longer have to drive to surrounding cities for daily or weekly cancer treatments. The 18,000 square foot building is expected to be completed and ready to occupy by June 2008.
